Richard R. Rockwood, May 29, 1944 - August 21, 2014

Rick was born May 29, 1944 in Southern California to Edward and Margaret Rockwood, and he passed away August 21, 2014 in Rancho Mirage, CA. Rick retired in 2011 after a long and illustrious career as an aerospace executive. His career spanned over five decades beginning at A. Biederman, Inc. in Glendale, CA where he attained the position of President and part owner. Subsequently, when A. Biederman was acquired by what is now... The Triumph Group, he held senior executive positions in multiple companies within The Triumph Group. His career included travel throughout the U.S. in addition to abroad. Upon retiring, much of Rick's leisure time was spent doing one of the things he enjoyed the most, playing golf. He is survived by his son, Wade (Lesley), daughter, Michelle (Pat), twin granddaughters, two grandsons, the mother of his children, a brother, sister-in-law, three sisters, brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Ko and Dr. Amy Law for their never-ending medical support, as well as the medical staff at Eisenhower Hospital and his dear caregiver, Elena. Rick was a wonderful and loving family man, and he will forever be in our hearts. Services will be at San Fernando Mission, Mission Hills, CA
